District 3 is one of the most diverse school districts in NYC and one of the most segregated. The District recently received an $11.3 million magnet grant to reduce “racial isolation.”
District 3 schools have also been subject to co-location of its public schools through the expansion of charter schools.
Please join us to learn more about Community Controlled Choice: an admissions policy and school assignment plan that addresses these issues and works to ensure that ALL of our public schools thrive.
